Lucknow: The legal noose is tightening around model Shraddha Dubey and other accused individuals facing murder allegations in connection with the mysterious death of Shiva Sharma in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In a significant development, a Nagpur district court has granted a 72-hour transit remand for Shraddha Dubey and two co-accused. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have also apprehended Shraddha's boyfriend Aamir, who played a crucial role in helping her evade capture following the incident.
Accused Being Brought Via Road From Nagpur
Following the court order, the Uttar Pradesh STF took custody of the three accused and departed from Nagpur for Lucknow. The individuals being transported under remand include Shraddha Dubey, Rashmi Dubey, and driver Danish. Authorities initially considered flying the suspects back to Lucknow, but that plan was subsequently altered in favor of a road journey. The convoy is currently traveling by road under tight security, and Shraddha Dubey is scheduled to be produced before a Lucknow court tomorrow, Thursday.
Boyfriend Aamir Detained Over Escape Assistance
Investigators have widened their net to catch anyone who aided Shraddha Dubey in her flight from justice. As part of this crackdown, police detained her boyfriend Aamir. According to findings, Aamir was with Shraddha on the night of October 9 when she escaped from Lucknow. He personally drove her all the way to the Nepal border to help her slip away. Furthermore, Aamir allegedly handed Shraddha a SIM card obtained using a fake identity so she could communicate without being easily tracked. Lucknow police are currently interrogating Aamir regarding other possible accomplices and the exact sequence of events surrounding the crime.
Accused Uncooperative During Police Interrogation
Law enforcement officials revealed that the investigation has hit minor roadblocks regarding the primary suspect's attitude. During late-night questioning sessions, Shraddha Dubey reportedly failed to cooperate with the STF and Lucknow police. She allegedly did not provide satisfactory answers to the specific questions posed by investigators, prompting authorities to dig deeper into the digital and physical evidence collected so far.
