Authorities have successfully apprehended all four individuals linked to the heinous plot. Discovery of the Body by the Roadside
The sequence of events began on August 23 when the lifeless body of Ramashankar Mishra was found dumped by the roadside near the Bina Stadium within the Shaktinagar jurisdiction. The victim was employed as a senior overman at NCL Bina. While the initial impression pointed toward a standard road accident, the suspicious physical conditions at the crime scene prompted the local police force to launch a rigorous inquiry. Investigators methodically examined the ground realities, technical evidence, call detail records, and tower locations, piecing together every single detail surrounding the incident.
Confrontation Following Discovery
As the investigation deepened, authorities uncovered that the deceased man's wife, Priyanka Mishra, had been involved in a long-standing romantic affair with Vikas Chauhan. The core catalyst for the tragedy occurred on August 22, when Ramashankar Mishra unexpectedly walked in and caught his wife Priyanka Mishra and Vikas Chauhan together inside the residence. This discovery sparked a furious altercation between the parties involved. During the heat of the dispute, Priyanka Mishra and Vikas Chauhan strangled Ramashankar Mishra and slammed his head against the floor, inflicting fatal injuries that resulted in his death.
Staging the Crime Scene to Deceive Authorities
Following the killing, the conspirators fabricated a deceptive cover-up to shield themselves from justice. Vikas Chauhan enlisted the assistance of two associates, Anurag Singh alias Badal and Sonu Gupta, to dispose of the body. The trio wrapped the mortal remains of Ramashankar Mishra in a bedsheet and a towel, transporting the body to the roadside and arranging it to simulate a vehicular crash.
