Candidates preparing for teaching positions in Bihar government schools have received significant news as the state government accelerates the fourth phase of teacher recruitment, known as TRE 4. Under this upcoming drive, a total of 32,388 teachers will be appointed across various educational levels. The Education Department has officially submitted the recruitment requisition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary shared this update through a post on the social media platform X.
BPSC Requisition Submitted and Expected Notification Timeline
With the Education Department having formally transmitted the requisition to BPSC, candidate focus has shifted to the upcoming official notification. The commission is expected to publish the detailed advertisement and application schedule in August. Once released, eligible applicants will be able to register through the official BPSC portal. According to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, this recruitment drive marks a key stride toward delivering quality education, creating job opportunities for the youth, and realizing the vision of a developed Bihar.
Class-Wise Breakdown of Teaching Vacancies
The recruitment process will address staff shortages from primary to senior secondary schooling. Out of the 32,388 total vacancies, the largest allocation is designated for senior secondary classes. The detailed class-wise distribution of teaching posts is structured as follows
- Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Teachers): A total of 3,847 positions have been allocated for primary level education.
- Classes 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Teachers): This category accounts for 8,563 teaching appointments.
- Classes 9 to 10 (Secondary Teachers): A total of 3,877 teacher vacancies will be filled in secondary schools.
- Classes 11 to 12 (Higher Secondary Teachers): The highest share of recruitment belongs to higher secondary grades, with 16,101 posts.

Elaborating on the scope of the recruitment initiative, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary reiterated the government's commitment to expanding employment opportunities for young citizens.
