Within a short period, floodwaters spilled over into roads, markets, and residential areas across the Rasuwa district. The heavy deluge caused severe structural damage, washing away stretches of key roads and knocking down electricity transmission lines as well as power substations, which triggered widespread power outages throughout the affected zone.
According to figures released by Nepal Tourism, a total of 384 travelers have gone missing following the sudden flash floods. Among those untraced are 291 foreign tourists, including 105 Indian citizens. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, though damaged transportation routes and disrupted communications continue to hinder access to remote areas.
