Arunachal Pradesh's focus on solid and liquid waste management under the ODF Plus initiative is a positive step, but maintaining rural sanitation infrastructure and managing waste disposal over the long term will pose a significant administrative challenge given the difficult terrain of hilly regions.

Accelerating ODF Plus targets in Arunachal Pradesh is commendable, but the scientific management of solid and liquid waste in hilly terrains and long-term infrastructure will require adequate financial allocation and robust administrative coordination. Central backing can prove crucial here, positively impacting both the rural economy and public health.
