October 2026 is shaping up to be an important month for the Indian passenger vehicle market. Right ahead of Diwali and peak festive shopping, several mainstream automakers are preparing to debut mid-cycle cosmetic refreshes, advanced convenience additions, and modern powertrain technologies across multiple segments. Brands including Honda, Skoda, Toyota, and Renault are updating their portfolios to appeal to buyers looking for fresher designs and enhanced cabin capabilities. Covering everything from premium hatchbacks and mid-size sedans to compact and family-oriented SUVs, these arrivals will widen choices while intensifying rivalry in their respective categories.
Honda Elevate Facelift Scheduled for October 6
The mid-size Honda Elevate SUV, which first arrived on Indian roads back in 2023, is receiving its very first mid-cycle upgrade. Slated for debut on October 6, this refresh brings subtle cosmetic revisions outside alongside crucial comfort additions on the inside. Exterior tweaks are expected to feature a restyled front radiator grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, modified LED illumination units, and freshly styled alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, Honda is adding popular convenience features such as ventilated seats, a 360-degree parking camera, and a larger touchscreen display. The mechanical setup remains unchanged, retaining the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine delivering between 119 and 121 bhp with choices of a manual gearbox or a CVT. With an expected entry-level ex-showroom price under ₹12 lakh, this mildly pricier refresh aims to strengthen its defense against strong rivals such as the Creta and Seltos.
Skoda Slavia Facelift Set for October 6 Reveal
Arriving on the exact same date of October 6 is the refreshed Skoda Slavia sedan. The update provides the car with an updated front fascia, newly shaped headlamps and tail lamps, fresh alloy wheel designs, and crisper exterior styling highlights.
Cabin comfort has been notably elevated through the addition of rear-seat massage functions, a 360-degree camera system, and an expansive digital display. Mechanically, the 1.0-litre TSI engine gets paired with an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission, while the performance-focused 1.5-litre TSI unit continues with its established 7-speed DSG gearbox. Anticipated to hit showrooms at around ₹12.50 lakh, this marginally higher-priced sedan will look to hold its ground against rivals like the City, Verna, and Virtus.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Slated for October 14
For buyers targeting the premium hatchback space, the Toyota Glanza facelift is lined up for rollout on October 14. Mirroring updates seen on the Baleno facelift, this car receives a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor rated to deliver approximately 83 horsepower. Visual modifications will primarily concentrate on a reworked front grille and reprofiled bumpers.
Equipment additions are slated to bring Level-2 ADAS driver assistance tech, ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), though a sunroof is not expected to be part of the package. Commanding a slight premium over its outgoing predecessor, the hatchback is set to keep its base ex-showroom pricing under ₹7 lakh as it challenges the Baleno, Altroz, and i20.
Renault Duster Hybrid Arriving on October 17
Rounding out the festive launches is the Renault Duster Hybrid, scheduled to arrive on October 17. The powertrain combines a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit with twin electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery setup. Working together, this full hybrid architecture produces a total output of 160 bhp and 172 Nm of torque.
Paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, the SUV is claimed to run up to 80 percent of city driving conditions purely on electric propulsion, helping it achieve fuel efficiency figures of around 22 KMPL. Positioned as the flagship offering above standard petrol trims, the vehicle is likely to carry an ex-showroom price tag near ₹20 lakh, positioning it directly against strong hybrid alternatives such as the Grand Vitara and Hyryder.
