As the festive season picks up pace across the country, automobile manufacturers are introducing exclusive variants to attract buyers. Joining this trend, BYD India has rolled out a special festive edition of its popular electric SUV. This limited-run model is based on the top trim and aims to offer a touch of exclusivity to early buyers as part of the brand's ongoing seasonal campaign.
Pricing and Production Limits
The newly introduced festive edition comes with an ex-showroom price of 50.60 lakh rupees. Built upon the foundation of the existing premium variant, this special model brings aesthetic enhancements while retaining the core mechanical setup. To maintain its unique appeal, the automaker has capped the total production of this festive iteration at just 150 units for the market.
Exterior Design and Styling Elements
When it comes to the outer shell, the design remains identical to the standard model. The vehicle preserves its sleek profile, featuring a bold front fascia, sharp LED lighting arrangements, and an aerodynamic body shape. Standing on 19-inch alloy wheels, the SUV maintains its commanding road presence and distinctive styling within the premium segment.
Interior Overhaul and Cabin Ambiance
The primary highlight of this festive release lies within the cabin, which receives an exclusive tan and black color scheme. This rich combination is applied across the quilted Nappa leather seats, dashboard panels, and door trims. Additional features like a panoramic glass roof equipped with an electric sunshade, adjustable ambient lighting, and refined finishes elevate the overall luxury quotient.
Advanced Technology and Safety Equipment
The equipment list is extensive, featuring a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment unit that supports wireless smartphone connectivity. Drivers also get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a 12-speaker audio setup, ventilated and heated front seats with memory functions, dual-zone climate control, and a powered tailgate. Safety is heavily emphasized with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera system, level 2 ADAS capabilities, and a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP.
Battery Performance and Powertrain Details
Underneath the bodywork, the vehicle houses an 82.56 kWh blade battery integrated with advanced cell-to-body architecture and torque adaptation tech. The rear-wheel-drive setup generates 230 kW of power along with 380 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the vehicle to accelerate from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.7 seconds, while offering a driving range of up to 567 kilometers based on NEDC testing cycles.
