Royal Enfield has introduced a special 125th Anniversary Edition of the Classic 650 to commemorate its 125-year motorcycle manufacturing legacy. The exclusive model has been priced at Rs 4,25,589 (ex-showroom) in India. Designated as the Hypershift Classic 650, this limited-run motorcycle honours the brand's journey that originated in 1901. To maintain high exclusivity, the company has restricted availability to just 125 units per major global market.
Registration Window and Delivery Schedule
Registrations for prospective buyers opened on 16 October 2026 at 2:00 PM IST and will remain active until 28 October. Deliveries for the limited-edition motorcycle are scheduled to commence in November 2026. Given its limited production volume, the model is targeted primarily at motorcycle collectors and enthusiasts of the brand's heritage.
Design and Visual Highlights
The Hypershift Classic 650 distinguishes itself from the standard variant through specialized cosmetic enhancements. The standout feature is the Hypershift color-shifting paint, which transitions between shades of red, green, and gold depending on ambient lighting. Its brass base draws direct inspiration from the company's early 1901 motorcycles. The visual package is augmented by a golden 125-year crest, dedicated side-panel badges, and hand-painted pinstripes. Blacked-out components include the engine casing, exhaust system, and wheels, paired with a quilted premium seat. The signature teardrop fuel tank and nacelle headlight housing remain intact.
Equipment and Safety Specifications
On the equipment front, the motorcycle comes fitted with an LED headlight and a TFT display unit integrated with Tripper navigation. A USB Type-C charging port is included for electronic devices, alongside a removable pillion seat and sub-frame structure. Handling and ride comfort are managed by Showa suspension hardware, comprising 43 mm front telescopic forks and dual rear shock absorbers. Braking responsibilities are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 300 mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.
Engine and Mechanical Setup
The mechanical setup remains identical to the standard version. Power comes from a 647.95 cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine producing between 46.39 bhp and 47 bhp, along with 52.3 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed transmission featuring a slipper and assist clutch. The motorcycle registers a kerb weight of approximately 243 kg, features an 800 mm seat height, carries a 14.7-to-14.8-liter fuel tank, and reaches a top speed of around 157 km/h.
