Law enforcement authorities in Hanumangarh have delivered a major blow to illegal substance networks by seizing a massive consignment of restricted medicines valued at around Rs 17 crore. Acting on specific intelligence provided by the district special team, the Town police conducted a targeted raid at a warehouse located in the Sindhi Mohalla area, uncovering a vast stash of unauthorized pharmaceutical products and arresting three suspects at the scene.
During the operation, police recovered a total of 4,12,300 restricted pills and capsules from the premises. Additionally, 32 separate intoxicating pills were confiscated by the raiding team. The sheer volume of the seized pharmaceutical goods points to a well-organized narcotics syndicate operating in the region. According to preliminary findings, these restricted medicines were systematically distributed to consumers across neighboring villages and nearby towns based on demand.
Warehouse Operated in Sindhi Mohalla
Investigators revealed that the accused individuals had established the warehouse in Sindhi Mohalla specifically for storing large quantities of banned drugs. The location served as a central distribution hub where inventory was accumulated before being dispatched to various outlying areas according to orders received. Police are currently tracing the original supply chain to determine the manufacturing source of these restricted medical shipments and to identify any other accomplices operating within the network.
Three Arrests Made and Ongoing Investigation
The operation led to the immediate apprehension of three individuals identified as Manpreet Singh, Vinod Kumar, and Pappu Singh. Authorities are interrogating the trio to extract details about the wider network and unearth the identities of others involved in the illicit trade. Police are also examining the duration for which this warehouse has been operational and mapping out the specific localities that received regular supplies of these restricted substances. Detailing the operation during a press conference, Superintendent of Police B Aditya stated that the meticulous raid was executed by the Town police following actionable inputs from the district special team. Officials reiterated that anti-drug operations will continue rigorously in the future, and further legal actions against associates linked to this syndicate are expected as the investigation unfolds.
