Gaurav Gautam, Assistant Superintendent of Posts at the main post office in Suhag Nagar, stated that these specialized covers were developed specifically to address concerns over rain damage during transit.

To make this facility convenient for all residents, the postal administration has ensured widespread stock distribution throughout the district. The specialized waterproof envelopes are not restricted to central facilities; they are available across all urban and rural post offices operating in Firozabad. Any individual can simply visit their nearest local post office to purchase these covers and send their Rakhis. Recognizing that sisters start mailing their greetings well in advance during Sawan, post offices began offering these envelopes starting on the 12th. Furthermore, to accommodate festival rushes and assist working citizens, post offices are keeping these envelopes available for purchase even on Sundays.

Despite offering enhanced durability and water protection, the postal department has kept the cost remarkably low to make it accessible to everyone. Each waterproof envelope is priced at just 10 rupees. To offer further relief to customers, a special discount of 10 percent is also being provided on the purchase. Owing to its minimal cost and festive discount, demand for these specialized envelopes has been rising steadily across post offices during Sawan.
