A specialized police team acted on precise confidential intelligence to corner and arrest the prime accused, Tribhuvan. The brutal murder of Baidyanath Mahato had triggered intense public outrage and severe tension across the region, prompting law enforcement agencies to launch round-the-clock raids across multiple potential hideouts.
Cordon Around Kethariya Chowk and the Overnight Manhunt
Investigating officers received vital technical inputs alongside informant intelligence indicating that the absconding suspects were taking refuge around Kethariya Chowk. Law enforcement units promptly mobilised and threw a security cordon around the suspected belt. During the preliminary stages of the operation at night, the police team successfully intercepted and recovered the motorcycle used by the accused.

Viral Video and Allegations Issued Prior to Capture
Prior to his arrest, accused Tribhuvan Kushwaha had released a video statement that circulated extensively across social media platforms. In that clip, transmitted to a journalist via a WhatsApp call, Tribhuvan refuted the allegations levelled against him, claiming he was falsely implicated. He insisted that he was not involved in the alleged shooting targeting Baidyanath Mahato on August 28 and had fired no shots. Concurrently, he raised counter-allegations accusing Baidyanath Mahato of land grabbing. Police investigators are now actively cross-examining him in custody against physical evidence and his recorded claims.
