The Five-Star Hotel Wardrobe Mishap
During the early days of his career, Chunky Panday was actively modeling while searching for an acting role in mainstream movies. One evening, he attended a high-profile wedding party hosted at a luxury five-star hotel, dressed in traditional attire that included a churidar pyjama. Having consumed substantial drinks during the evening celebrations, he stepped into the hotel restroom, only to be confronted by a sudden wardrobe dilemma. The drawstring of his churidar pyjama had become severely tangled into a tight, stubborn knot. Unable to undo it despite multiple frantic attempts, he found himself in total distress and began calling out aloud for help.
The Arrival of Pahlaj Nihalani and an Unexpected Offer
Hearing the cries from the stall, renowned film producer Pahlaj Nihalani happened to walk into the washroom and immediately stepped forward to resolve the issue. Nihalani untangled the stubborn knot, relieving the struggling young man from the awkward predicament. Once the situation settled, the producer inquired about what he did for a living. Chunky shared that he worked as a model and was actively auditioning and scouting for acting roles in films. Upon arriving at the office the next morning, the filmmaker presented him with an immediate role in the 1987 action drama Aag Hi Aag. The project marked Chunky's formal entry into Bollywood.
