Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has once again demonstrated his remarkable commitment to his craft at 83 years of age. During a recent filming session for Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, the actor suffered an injury to his left knee. The physical setback forced him to alter his usual routine on the quiz show, prompting him to deliver his opening address while seated rather than standing, which left viewers concerned about his physical condition. He has now allayed those worries by posting a new photo that signals his determination to remain active.
Black and white image from the television set
Writing in his daily personal blog, Amitabh Bachchan posted a monochrome photograph captured right on the Kaun Banega Crorepati set. In the image, he can be seen running directly toward the camera lens. Accompanying the visual, he shared a brief reflection stating that a lot remains to be done and that it is not finished yet, adding in Hindi that he is simply running on. Alongside these remarks, he extended his appreciation and affection to fans who had sent their good wishes.
Appearing without support at a public gathering
The veteran performer's discipline has drawn widespread admiration across the industry. Just two days after opening up about the injury on television, he attended a public event held in Mumbai on October 2. Attendees observed him walking comfortably on his own without any walking aids or physical assistance, providing visible reassurance about his ongoing recovery.
How the set accident unfolded during production
During a recent broadcast of KBC 18, Amitabh Bachchan explained the circumstances behind his injury. He recounted that he had slipped and fallen during production, hurting his left knee in the process. Standard episodes usually open with him standing in the center of the stage to deliver his monologue, but due to discomfort while on his feet, he chose to start the episode seated. Despite the physical strain, he opted not to pause filming, and the newly released picture of him in motion captures that same determination to continue working.
