Filmmaker-turned-YouTuber Farah Khan has been touring celebrity homes on her channel, and the format has grown from quick glimpses of stardom into full, unscripted walk-throughs of how these stars actually live. Her newest episode took the camera straight to the doorstep of singer-composer Vishal Dadlani. Known for tracks like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Om Shanti Om, Balam Pichkari and Aankhon Mein Teri, Dadlani's home sits between hills and a lake, and it is now the talk of social media.
A Hillside Retreat Built Beside a Dam in Pune
The vlog captured Dadlani's farmhouse sitting right next to a dam in Pune, ringed on every side by green hills. The house is set on raised ground, so it looks down over both the water and the surrounding valley. Inside, there is a large swimming pool with a landscaped garden right beside it, while the living area was deliberately placed on the upper floor so it opens out to sweeping views. Dadlani revealed that he bought the property after Om Shanti Om, the very film for which he composed the music and also made his acting debut. He then spent between 2010 and 2013 turning the land into what he calls a retreat-cum-farmhouse, a slow build rather than a sudden purchase. Farah mentioned she has visited the place several times before, suggesting the friendship and the property go back a long way.
A Michael Jackson Keepsake Hidden Inside the Studio
Walking Farah through his personal studio, Dadlani pulled out something that instantly lit up her face, a signed photograph of Michael Jackson that had stayed sealed in its packaging until that moment, when he opened it in front of her for the first time. Farah reacted playfully, saying, “What's wrong with you, just give this to me.” Dadlani explained he had picked up the autographed picture at an auction, and its real worth comes entirely from Jackson's own signature on it. Asked about the price, he said, “Its value equals the value of my whole house.” Farah then folded her hands to the photograph, calling Michael Jackson her own inspiration.
Dilip's Answer Left Both Of Them Stunned
In the middle of the conversation, Farah pointed to another photograph in the studio and asked Dilip, who was present there, if he recognised it. He answered immediately, “Yes, he dances. This is Mithun Chakraborty ji.” Both Farah and Dadlani were caught off guard by how quickly and confidently he identified the picture. Farah jokingly told Dilip to leave the room right away. The light exchange added an unexpectedly funny beat to the tour, and it is already being talked about among viewers of the vlog.
The Jasleen Royal Apology Still Trails Dadlani
Separately, Dadlani has also been in the news over an apology to singer Jasleen Royal. During Coldplay's India concert in 2025, he had called her performance that of a “basic-to-bad singer,” a remark that triggered considerable backlash and drew sharp criticism on social media. He has since publicly apologised to Jasleen Royal and admitted the comment was a mistake on his part. Coming right after that controversy, Farah's house tour has put a lighter spotlight back on Dadlani, one that shows off his farmhouse, his memorabilia collection and his lifelong attachment to music all at once.
