Women across Chhattisgarh are set to receive a timely financial boost ahead of the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, following a major announcement by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai regarding the state welfare framework. The administration has initiated steps to credit the next monthly instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana into beneficiaries' bank accounts well ahead of schedule, ensuring that families have adequate resources to celebrate the festivities with enthusiasm and without monetary strain.
Thirty Instalments Disbursed So Far
Detailing the ongoing implementation of the initiative, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai noted that a total of 30 instalments have already been successfully transferred to the accounts of women across the state. Through this sustained welfare mechanism, more than 19,000 crore rupees in financial assistance has been directly deposited into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries. The government maintains that the program continues to deliver tangible results on the ground.
Fostering Economic Independence Among Women
The Chief Minister emphasized that the scheme is playing a pivotal role in driving financial empowerment among mothers and sisters throughout the region. By providing consistent monetary support, the initiative helps recipients achieve greater self-reliance in their daily lives. Building on this vision, authorities decided to prepay the upcoming September instalment so that festival preparations remain unaffected by financial constraints.

The Department of Women and Child Development has already commenced the necessary administrative procedures to execute the advance disbursement. With this timely intervention, a large segment of female beneficiaries in the state is expected to receive direct relief before the festive celebrations begin, enabling them to manage their expenses smoothly.
