Passengers travelling from Noida International Airport are set to experience a significant shift in flight options as Akasa Air restructures its operational network. The airline has decided to suspend its daily flight service connecting Noida with Mumbai after September 30, 2026. However, providing alternative connectivity for commuters heading to western Maharashtra, the carrier will initiate a new direct flight service to Navi Mumbai starting October 1, 2026. This tactical relocation of operations will alter the flight availability for passengers departing from the Jewar facility.
Route Shift on Mumbai Sector as Bookings Close
Under the revised schedule, Akasa Air will completely shut down its afternoon 2:10 PM flight from Noida to Mumbai starting September 30, 2026. The airline has already halted ticket reservations for this specific departure slot on its official online portal and booking application. During its initial operational phase at Noida Airport, Akasa Air originally offered air connectivity to both Bengaluru and Mumbai. However, following a commercial review in July, the company discontinued its Bengaluru route.
To compensate for the Bengaluru withdrawal, the carrier expanded its Mumbai operations by running two daily services scheduled at 2:10 PM and 9:05 PM. The night flight at 9:05 PM was abruptly cancelled by the airline just two days ago. With the upcoming termination of the 2:10 PM afternoon flight at the end of September, passengers seeking direct air travel between Noida and Mumbai will be left with only a single daily option, which is IndiGo's afternoon departure scheduled at 3:00 PM.
Timings and Flight Schedule for Navi Mumbai Service
Alongside the withdrawal of the Mumbai city route, Akasa Air has opened a new destination channel. The airline confirmed that online seat bookings are currently active for its newly introduced direct route linking Noida to Navi Mumbai, commencing October 1. As per the official flight schedule, the daily service will take off from Noida International Airport at 11:00 AM and arrive at Terminal-1 of Navi Mumbai Airport at 1:15 PM. This new timetable aims to serve travellers heading directly to the commercial and residential hubs surrounding Navi Mumbai.
Winter Schedule Expansion to Connect More Cities
Addressing the major adjustments in flight operations, an official spokesperson for Akasa Air stated that the modifications align with the airline's upcoming winter operational schedule entering into force in September. The operational shifts form part of a broader network restructuring strategy designed to optimize route utilization. The airline management further assured that under the upcoming winter schedule, details and time tables for brand new flight routes connecting Noida International Airport with several other major Indian cities will be unveiled shortly.
