An exceptional opportunity has emerged for young individuals from underprivileged families in Munger to achieve self-reliance and build sustainable careers. Under the Atmanirbhar Munger initiative, UCO RSETI has formulated a comprehensive plan for the 2026-27 financial year to impart vocational skills to the local youth. The institution is targeting the training of approximately 1,000 youths through 29 distinct training programs scheduled throughout the year. The primary objective behind this initiative is to integrate youth into employment and self-employment avenues, thereby curbing unemployment within the district. All preparations and financial backing for this extensive program are being managed directly by the UCO Bank institution.
Twenty-Nine Training Programs Designed for Employment Generation
According to Devendra Kumar of UCO RSETI Munger, the training curriculum for this financial year has been structured to be significantly more impactful than before. Two to three training sessions will be conducted every month, encompassing service sector domains, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship-oriented courses. The initial phase will roll out training modules such as Banking Sakhi or Jeevika Didi programs, alongside goat farming. Agricultural-based courses will also be administered to benefit rural youth and local farmers. Keeping women and young girls in focus, novel training modules including bangle making and jewelry crafting have been incorporated this time. Additionally, training will be provided for dairy farming, incense stick manufacturing, and agro-based enterprises. The ultimate vision of the institution is to ensure that participants do not merely complete a course but successfully convert their newly acquired skills into stable income generation.
Completely Free Training and Banking Assistance for New Ventures
The training programs conducted at UCO RSETI are entirely free of cost, removing any financial barrier for aspiring candidates. The institute provides both residential and day-training facilities to accommodate learners comfortably. Once the training concludes, if a participant wishes to launch an independent business venture, the institute actively assists them in securing financial aid and loans from banks. Furthermore, newly launched startups established by trainees undergo systematic monitoring to guarantee that the young entrepreneurs can scale and manage their businesses effectively after inception. This approach demonstrates a holistic commitment, moving beyond basic skill development to ensure that participants successfully transition into self-employment.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process for Candidates
Applicants wishing to enroll in these training programs must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 45 years. To complete the application procedure, candidates are required to submit specific documents, including an Aadhaar card, verification of their name in the economic census list, passport-size photographs, and a bank passbook. For standard general courses, basic literacy—the ability to read and write—is sufficient. However, for courses spanning one month, candidates must have successfully cleared their intermediate education. Interested candidates are required to fill out an application form initially, after which they will be notified regarding the exact training dates. The UCO RSETI office remains operational from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Interested youth can visit the office located within the Munger Sadar block premises to gather detailed information regarding applications and course schedules.
