Kajalgaon-based power transmission infrastructure developer Resonia Ltd. has rolled out a first-of-its-kind helpline for farmers residing along the Northeastern Region Expansion Scheme (NERES XXV) project corridor in Assam. The initiative provides a structured communication channel for local landowners, agricultural communities, and farmers, enabling seamless resolution of their queries.
Helpline Launch and Multilingual Support
The helpline was officially launched on Monday during a press conference held by Chirang District Commissioner Gokul Chandra Brahma, ACS. Designed to operate until the conclusion of the NERES XXV (A) project, the service is multilingual and supports Assamese, Bodo, and Hindi. Residents and farmers living across the project corridor villages spanning Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Bajali districts can reach out to obtain project information, seek clarity, voice grievances, and resolve construction-related issues.
Operating Hours and Response Framework
Farmers can call +91 1800-572-7701 between 09:30 AM and 5 PM from Monday to Friday to register their queries, and they are assured a response call within 48 hours. The trained support staff are fluent in Assamese and Bodo, with working knowledge of both Hindi and English. This marks a pioneering step in Assam's power transmission sector, highlighting Resonia's focus on stakeholder engagement during infrastructure development.
Official and Corporate Perspective
District Commissioner Brahma welcomed the dedicated channel, noting that dialogue-based problem-solving facilitates smoother project execution. He praised the management for introducing an innovative deliberation framework that delivers durable solutions and drives regional prosperity. The NERES XXV project itself is structured to reinforce the power transmission grid across Assam and the wider Northeast, enhancing grid reliability to meet surging electricity demand.
Building Trust Through Transparency
Resonia noted that consistent communication helps mitigate concerns, build trust, and reduce misunderstandings throughout construction. A company spokesperson emphasized that the helpline guarantees timely information access and a direct link to project teams, reinforcing that successful infrastructure relies heavily on mutual respect and cooperation.
