The girl was intercepted and subjected to forceful harassment while heading toward school via an isolated stretch lined with abandoned structures. Fortunately, the victim raised an alarm and the timely intervention of attentive passersby averted further danger. Acting swiftly on the distress call, local police launched a targeted sweep and apprehended both juvenile suspects within just four hours of the crime.

The incident unfolded during the morning hours between 8:30 am and 9:00 am, when the young girl set out from her home for school as part of her daily routine. On her way, she took a route toward a classmate's residence so they could walk together. As she walked past a desolate patch surrounded by thick bushes and deserted buildings belonging to the Bhilai Steel Plant area, two juvenile boys ambushed her. Exploiting the absolute silence of the remote zone, the duo surrounded the lone girl and began subjecting her to forceful misbehaviour and physical harassment.

Terrified by the sudden aggression, the young student shouted for help at the top of her voice, pleading repeatedly to be saved. Upon receiving the emergency communication, a police contingent rushed to the location and secured the shaken student.
