Cricket fans are in for a massive treat this festive season as India and Pakistan prepare to square off on the cricket field on Diwali. The two arch-rivals will lock horns in a high-voltage Under-19 Asia Cup fixture scheduled at the Al Amerat Stadium. According to the official schedule, the toss will take place at 10:00 AM, with the match officially getting underway at 10:30 AM. Heading into this fierce rivalry clash, the young Indian squad has already made a resounding statement by securing a dominant victory in their opening tournament fixture against Nepal.
A Stellar Opening Statement Against Nepal
Opting to field first after winning the toss, the Indian bowling unit executed their game plan with remarkable precision. Although the Nepali batters attempted a cautious start, the innings completely collapsed after losing four wickets with 51 runs on the board. The youthful Indian pace attack proved too hot to handle, leaving the opposition struggling to find any momentum as wickets tumbled rapidly under sustained pressure.
Bowling Brilliance Bundles Out Opposition
Ishaan Sood led the bowling charge with a lethal spell, claiming three crucial wickets while conceding just 18 runs to dismantle the top order. He received exceptional support from Arjun Rajput, who restricted the batters with economical figures of three wickets for only eight runs, shutting down any chances of a late recovery. Dash Sonar put up a fighting knock of 43 runs for Nepal, and Ashish Luther chipped in with 29 runs, but the entire batting lineup folded for a modest total of 128 runs in 42.3 overs.
Effortless Run Chase Led by Aryaveer Sehwag
Chasing a target of 129 runs proved to be a walk in the park for the Indian side. Lakshya Raychandani set a brisk pace from the outset before Aryaveer Sehwag, son of legendary Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, unleashed a masterclass of aggressive batting. Aryaveer played a blazing unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 52 balls, studded with seven boundaries and four towering sixes. Meanwhile, Raychandani anchored the other end with an unbeaten 53 runs off 63 balls, guiding India to a ten-wicket victory in just 19.1 overs with a massive 185 balls to spare.
