Food safety officials in Hapur unmasked a major illegal dairy adulteration operation operating out of a residential property. Acting on precise intelligence, enforcement teams inspected a house situated in the Kuchesar Chaupala locality under the jurisdiction of the Babugarh police station. During the search, officers intercepted nearly 955 kilograms of dangerous adulterated cream, which was promptly destroyed right at the spot to prevent it from entering the local supply chain.
Chemicals and Refined Oil Used in Production
An initial examination conducted by inspecting officers revealed that the illicit processing unit was generating synthetic cream using non-dairy substances. The seized consignment was manufactured using a mix of Vanaspati, refined cooking oil, and various unknown chemical agents instead of genuine milk fat. The inspection team drew mandatory samples from the seized batch for detailed laboratory analysis before initiating the immediate disposal of the entire 955 kg stock to ensure public health safety.
Repeat Offender Shifted Operations to New Location
Investigations conducted during the raid disclosed that the individual operating the facility was a habitual offender in food adulteration activities. Having faced regulatory enforcement at a different location previously, the operator had vacated the old site and re-established the manufacturing setup inside a rented residence in Kuchesar Chaupala. Authorities initiated the current raid after receiving fresh confidential reports regarding ongoing illegal cream processing at this newly acquired location.
Heightened Surveillance Ahead of Festive Season
The enforcement action comes ahead of the upcoming festive season, a period when demand for milk and dairy products typically escalates across regional markets. Adulterators frequently exploit this spike in demand to supply fake and contaminated food items for quick financial gains. Food Safety and Drug Administration officials confirmed that rigorous inspections will continue throughout the district, emphasizing that strict legal measures will be enforced against anyone compromising public health through food contamination.
