During the holy month of Sawan, these two daughters seated their aging mother in a large basket and carried her on their heads by turns across a challenging 30-kilometer walking journey. Their physical devotion culminated in reaching the renowned Lakedeshwar Mahadev temple, where the mother safely offered prayers and performed rituals to Lord Shiva.

An elderly resident of the locality, Boli Devi Verma, is a devout follower of Lord Bholenath. However, due to advanced age and declining health, walking such a long distance on foot was physically impossible for her. Recognizing their mother's deep spiritual wish and keeping her health limitations in mind, her two daughters, Nandu and Norti, stepped forward with unwavering determination. The sisters decided that no obstacle would stop them from helping their mother complete her pilgrimage. They arranged a sturdy basket, carefully seated their mother inside, and took turns carrying the heavy basket on their heads to complete the entire 30-kilometer journey on foot.
