On Thursday, the enforcement wing of the JDA executed a major operation in the Mahesh Nagar area, sealing two separate buildings that were running full-fledged libraries within their basement premises. Officials stated that the action was launched due to severe violations of established building bylaws and the unauthorized utilization of basement spaces. The enforcement authority took action after finding that educational activities were being conducted underground in direct disregard of safety parameters and mandatory space usage norms.
Extensive Sealing Drive Across Gopalpura Bypass Zone
The latest enforcement action follows an aggressive campaign launched by the Jaipur Development Authority in the Gopalpura Bypass region, widely recognized as the city's primary coaching hub. Just a day prior to the Mahesh Nagar operation, JDA inspection teams sealed 12 coaching centers and academic premises in the Gopalpura Bypass area on Wednesday. With these consecutive actions, the cumulative tally of sealed coaching centers, libraries, and academic establishments reached 29 as of August 26. Prior to initiating these strict physical sealing measures, the enforcement authority had served formal compliance notices to approximately 63 educational institutions. The current sealing drive was executed only after building owners and institute managers failed to rectify the specified structural violations within the stipulated timeframe.
