Bollywood star Salman Khan recently addressed the intense public discussions surrounding the massive financial investment and visual effects of Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated directorial venture Ramayana. During a media interaction at the trailer launch event for his upcoming film Matrubhoomi in Mumbai, the actor firmly stated that conversations about such an epic should focus on its core narrative rather than its production costs.
Refocusing the Conversation Away From Budgets
Expressing his perspective on the ongoing buzz, Salman pointed out that he finds the constant emphasis on the astronomical budget and computer-generated graphics somewhat misplaced. He noted that reducing a project of this magnitude to mere monetary figures and technical jargon overshadows the spiritual and storytelling essence of the Ramayana. According to him, the narrative value and the depiction of the epic characters ought to take center stage in all public discussions.
Star-Studded Cast and Box Office Run
The ambitious cinematic adaptation features a prominent ensemble cast portraying legendary figures. Ranbir Kapoor essays the role of Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi appears as Mata Sita, and Yash takes on the formidable role of Ravana. Additionally, Sunny Deol portrays Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey steps into the shoes of Lakshmana. The first part of this two-part theatrical release arrived in cinemas on November 5, just ahead of Diwali, drawing mixed reviews from audiences alongside a notable surge in ticket sales during its opening weekend.
Matrubhoomi Release Anticipation
Meanwhile, Salman remains a focal point of entertainment news due to his own long-awaited project Matrubhoomi. The film, which stars Chitrangda Singh alongside him, faced several hurdles and delays over a prolonged period before finally securing its path to release.
