The ongoing probe into the firing incident connected to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has expanded further into Haryana, with local investigators bringing another individual in for questioning. Police authorities in Sonipat picked up Sameer, a childhood acquaintance of primary suspect Rehan. Initial background checks indicate that both individuals had previously encountered law enforcement together, having spent time behind bars in connection with an earlier illegal firearms case.
Family Rejects Allegations Citing Severe Medical Illness
Following the detention, the young man's family came forward to dispute any involvement in the assault, asserting that he has been wrongly targeted. His mother, Manju, tearfully appealed for justice, explaining that her son survives on a single kidney and requires continuous medical supervision. According to the household, a police team arrived at their residence on October 18 and took him into custody. His mother insisted that all communication and ties between her son and Rehan had ceased completely following their release from prison in the earlier matter.
Daily Routine and Surveillance Defense
Adding to the defense, his maternal aunt, Babli, stated that the boy is currently enrolled as an eleventh-grade student and continues to undergo regular medical therapy. Relatives explained that after attending school, he consistently stayed inside the family home rather than roaming outdoors. Furthermore, the family emphasized that the student does not even possess a personal mobile phone, pointing out that his everyday movements inside the residence remain recorded under the continuous watch of installed CCTV security cameras.
Prior Arrests and Continuing Inquiry
Investigating officers are currently questioning Sameer in Sonipat to ascertain whether any logistical connection or active communication existed leading up to the attack. Official clarity on his status is expected once the current round of interrogation concludes. The latest move follows the earlier apprehension on October 19 of Rehan from Sonipat and an unnamed minor from Gohana, both of whom were formally arrested on charges of firing directly at Tiger Shroff.
