In a major breakthrough for law enforcement, a fierce gun battle in Haryana's Jhajjar district resulted in the death of Sanjay, a wanted criminal who had been evading the police for months. The encounter took place near Kadodha village on Rankhanda road, where police teams had set up a strategic blockade based on intelligence reports regarding his movements.
Fierce Gunfire and Police Injuries
Upon realizing that he was surrounded by security forces, Sanjay opened fire indiscriminately at the police team. In the ensuing shootout, Sub-Inspector Sanyam sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. Two other police officers were also hit by bullets but escaped life-threatening injuries due to their bulletproof vests. The injured personnel were quickly rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
Suspect Declared Dead at Hospital
Sanjay was critically wounded during the retaliatory firing by the police. He was transported to the civil hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead. Authorities believe Sanjay was planning to execute a major criminal operation in the region before he was intercepted.
Investigation Underway
Following the encounter, senior police officials and a team from the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) arrived at the spot to gather evidence and conduct a thorough investigation. DCP Dharna Yadav confirmed the incident, stating that a comprehensive probe is underway to analyze all aspects of the confrontation.
