Technical job seekers in Himachal Pradesh have an opportunity to secure overseas employment in the United Arab Emirates through an upcoming interview session in Shimla. The recruitment process is coordinated through the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Limited, with a Mumbai-based agency handling selection on behalf of a UAE firm.
Contract Terms, Roles, and Compensation
The recruitment drive focuses on hiring qualified personnel for electrician and fitter trades. Appointed candidates will enter into an initial employment agreement covering a minimum contract period of two years. Selected technicians will draw a basic monthly compensation ranging between 1,100 and 1,300 UAE Dirham, translating to approximately 35,000 rupees per month, alongside overtime allowances provided under service regulations.
Living Support, Flight Allowances, and Perquisites
The sponsoring employer will issue employment visas for the shortlisted candidates. Along with the salary, workers will receive either complimentary meals or an equivalent food allowance, company-provided housing, and workplace transit as per contractual conditions. Entitlements also include one month of annual paid leave and an annual flight ticket allowance set at 2,700 Dirham, equivalent to around 70,000 rupees.
Eligibility Criteria, Age Bracket, and Passport Rules
Applicants must hold an ITI certificate or a technical diploma in either electrician or fitter trades. Both fresh diploma holders and seasoned technicians are permitted to participate in the screening. The age bracket for candidates is capped between 20 and 45 years. While holding a valid passport is mandatory for deployment, candidates lacking one at present can still apply, provided they obtain a passport within seven days of selection.
Selection Schedule, Venue, and Service Fees
Interviews for registered applicants are scheduled to take place on October 16 and 17, 2026, with the specific interview location in Shimla communicated directly to candidates once registration wraps up. Candidates who clear the selection will need to pay a prescribed service charge of 30,000 rupees plus 18 percent GST, totaling 35,400 rupees, in addition to a medical examination charge of 1,500 rupees.
Registration Timeline and Application Process
Candidates meeting the criteria must submit their details prior to the October 14, 2026 cut-off date through the designated registration form link. Shimla District Employment Officer Praveen NAgraik has urged qualified local youths to register before the deadline and make use of this foreign employment channel.
