Around 100 young individuals joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday during a special induction ceremony conducted at the party's regional headquarters in Jammu. Sat Sharma, the president of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit, formally welcomed the new entrants into the fold. He noted that the induction of young blood will provide substantial momentum to the party's organizational network across the Union Territory while expanding its connection with the youth demographic.
Induction Organised by the Youth Wing
The joining drive was orchestrated under the supervision of Arun Prabhat, the Jammu and Kashmir president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. The incoming cohort was spearheaded by Deepak Charak. Welcoming the new members, Sat Sharma observed that their resolve to align with the party reflects clear trust in its underlying ideology, its central leadership, and the overarching vision for a developed India.
Injecting Fresh Vigor into Organizational Activities
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma stated that rising youth involvement has been infusing fresh energy into the party machinery throughout Jammu and Kashmir. This participation is bridging ties between the political setup and the emerging generation. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation's youth have been receiving greater avenues to partake in India's developmental shift, urging the new inductees to become active contributors to the journey toward a developed nation.
Directives to Take Programmes to the Village Level
The state unit chief advised the new entrants to actively carry the party's social programmes and public outreach initiatives to the grassroots, particularly targeting rural settlements. He highlighted the necessity of strengthening values centered around public service, personal discipline, and civic responsibility among cadres. Senior party figure and former deputy mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria also felicitated Deepak Charak and his associates, expressing confidence that their presence would significantly reinforce routine organizational tasks.
Focus on Dedication and Organizational Discipline
Gopal Mahajan, general secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir unit, called on the newly recruited workers to execute their roles with strict discipline, deep dedication, and genuine integrity. He emphasized that workers must maintain continuous involvement in public initiatives and convey the central message down to local communities. Arun Prabhat added that this influx demonstrates the growing responsibility resting on the youth in strengthening the overall structure.

Speaking on behalf of the inductees, youth leader Deepak Charak expressed gratitude to the senior leadership for the reception accorded to them. He affirmed that the group remains fully dedicated to working on the ground to bolster the party's organizational reach. The entire induction was presented as an important stride in expanding the party's footprint among local youth.

Prior to the formal induction proceedings, Sat Sharma alongside other senior leaders offered floral tributes at the party headquarters to honor Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries. Reflecting on their legacies, Sat Sharma said both icons represented truth, personal simplicity, patriotism, and selfless service to the nation. He remarked that Gandhi's enduring principles of cleanliness, self-discipline, non-violence, and social harmony continue to guide future generations.
