Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh's film 'Pawan Raja' used the City Park as one of its shooting locations back in 2017. Several portions of the movie were filmed against the park's scenic backdrop, while a number of action sequences connected to the film were captured across other parts of Bokaro city. The park's layout, natural greenery and open spaces made it an easy pick for a production team looking for a ready-made cinematic setting.
Palms, fountains and a South Indian feel
What sets the park apart is its cluster of tall palm and coconut trees standing around a central fountain, a combination that gives visitors the sense of stepping into a South Indian locale rather than an industrial town in Jharkhand.
