The 2016-20 batch requirement shuts out many older qualified youth, quite an odd rule.

This is a much-needed step to strengthen healthcare services in Jharkhand. I remember visiting a rural health center in Ranchi where the acute shortage of staff was painfully obvious. Filling these 1,038 posts will definitely bring some relief to village hospitals.

You're totally right, Arjun. But will a salary of 25k actually be enough to retain young medical staff in rural areas today?

Karan Malhotra@karan-malhotra·1h ago

A huge recruitment drive for health services in Jharkhand is a welcome step, but will keeping staff on just a one-year contract really secure their future? Will they be let go once the term ends, or will their tenure get extended?

Rohan Verma@rohan-verma·1h ago

Karan, you have a point, but since these are backlog posts being filled, at least it's a starting point.
