A 24-year-old youth was brutally beaten to death in a late-night incident in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, triggering panic and tension across the area. The victim has been identified as Hritik Yadav, also known as Baddi Yadav. His father serves as a Sub-Inspector in the Jharkhand Police and is currently posted at Hazaribagh Jail. Following the incident, local police rushed to the scene and initiated extensive search operations to track down all the individuals involved in the fatal assault.
Midnight Ambush Near Bandarkuppi Maggi Point
The violent altercation took place around midnight near a popular roadside Maggi point situated in Bandarkuppi. According to the victim's companion Shubham Das, he along with Raja Gupta and Hritik had driven to Bandarkuppi at around 10:30 PM. While they were at the spot, an individual named Satish Yadav, a resident of Nawadih under the Pirtand police station limits, arrived there accompanied by an estimated 8 to 10 companions.
Satish Yadav and his associates allegedly initiated a physical clash with Hritik and his friends without any provocation. The attackers began by punching them and subsequently turned violent using split bamboo sticks to inflict severe injuries on Hritik. The brutal assault left the 24-year-old critically injured on the ground before bystanders could intervene.
Victim Declared Dead At Hospital As Two Friends Suffer Injuries
Local residents rushed to assist after the attackers fled, immediately transporting the critically injured Hritik to Giridih Sadar Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Upon arrival, attending doctors examined him and pronounced him dead. Two other youths also sustained injuries during the physical struggle. The tragic news of the young man's death plunged the police officer's household into deep mourning.
Police Launch Search Operations And Question Suspects
Law enforcement officials commenced a formal investigation immediately after receiving word of the fatal attack. Police teams have been conducting raids across multiple locations to apprehend the primary accused and his accomplices. A few individuals have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning, though formal statements confirming any official arrests are yet to be issued by senior officers.
The exact motive behind the murderous attack remains unconfirmed. Investigators are currently recording detailed statements from the victim's friends as well as eyewitnesses present at the food stall during the altercation. The probe aims to determine whether the violence stemmed from an ongoing dispute or an impromptu confrontation at the location.
