A major accident occurred on Wednesday evening in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, when an old and dilapidated water tank situated right behind the Kotwali police station suddenly collapsed. The unexpected disaster caused immediate panic and chaos in the entire area. The heavy debris crashed down on workers who were present at the site, raising immediate fears that several individuals were trapped beneath the rubble.
Rescue Operations and Police Response
Upon receiving information about the incident, local police rushed to the scene and initiated rescue and relief operations without delay. JCB machines were summoned to the location to clear the massive pile of debris. Administrative teams and rescue workers worked continuously to remove the rubble and reach anyone who might be trapped underneath.
Recovery of Victim and Ongoing Search
During the course of the rescue operations, the response team recovered the body of one worker from beneath the debris. The search for a second missing worker remains active as workers and officials continue clearing the remaining rubble. Police and emergency personnel continue to maintain a presence at the site to oversee the ongoing operations.
