A Violent Clash Over a Minor Shortage
A shocking incident has emerged from the Mehgaon police station area in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, where an argument over a mere 5 rupees escalated into a physical assault. A local flour mill operator allegedly bit off a customer's ear during a heated altercation. Following the incident, the accused shut down his shop and fled the scene, while the victim, covered in blood, managed to reach the local police station to file an official complaint.
The Root of the Dispute: Discrepancy in Weight
The victim, identified as Than Singh, a resident of Moroli village within the Mehgaon area, had gone to a flour mill operated by Pappu Ojha on Gormi Road to get wheat ground for his household. According to TrendKia, the conflict began when Than Singh returned to collect the flour and noticed a significant difference in the weight of the output.
When Than Singh had initially brought the wheat for grinding, it weighed exactly 37 kg 500 grams. However, when he received the ground flour, the bag weighed only 36 kilograms, indicating a loss of 1.5 kilograms of flour. Than Singh strongly protested this discrepancy, pointing out that he had received less flour than expected.
How a 5 Rupees Dispute Escalated
Despite the flour being short of the original weight, the mill owner, Pappu Ojha, insisted on receiving the full grinding charge of 45 rupees. Objecting to the unfair demand, Than Singh handed over only 40 rupees, deducting 5 rupees for the missing flour. This minor deduction of 5 rupees triggered a fierce argument between the two men.
The verbal spat quickly escalated into a physical brawl. Than Singh stated that Pappu Ojha launched a physical attack on him and bit his ear, leaving him severely injured and bleeding profusely. Immediately after the assault, Pappu Ojha closed down his flour mill and ran away.
Police Action and Investigation
Bleeding heavily, Than Singh walked directly to the Mehgaon police station. He narrated the entire ordeal and lodged a formal complaint against the mill operator. Based on the victim's statement, the local police have registered a case against the accused and launched a search operation to apprehend Pappu Ojha, who remains at large.
