Youth in Madhya Pradesh are set to receive significant employment opportunities as the state administration prepares to fill one lakh government vacancies this year. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made this formal announcement on Saturday while addressing an event organized by the Hindu Economic Forum in Indore. Highlighting the administration's ongoing efforts to generate jobs, he noted that over 85,000 government positions across various departments have been filled during the past two and a half years, and the upcoming recruitment drive will add another one lakh posts to this total.
Investment Potential And Economic Growth
During his address, the Chief Minister urged investors to establish industrial units in the state by pointing out key advantages such as the country's most affordable electricity, investor-friendly policies, a massive land bank spanning one lakh acres, and a peaceful industrial climate. He emphasized that sectors like energy, mining, and food processing offer tremendous potential for commercial expansion. Furthermore, he revealed that through global investor summits and other engagements over the past two and a half years, the administration has secured memorandums of understanding worth approximately 35 lakh crore rupees with industrialists, with work already underway to implement 33 percent of those proposals on the ground.
Expanding Aviation Links And Public Transit
To further boost investment and connectivity, the state administration is utilizing its civil aviation policy to provide financial support for launching international flight routes. The Chief Minister stated that under this framework, flight operations between Indore and Abu Dhabi commenced in July, while a service connecting Bhopal and Sharjah is scheduled to begin next month. In addition to air travel, public transport received a major boost as the Chief Minister and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Chief Minister Sugam Transport Bus Service and the PM e-Bus Service on Friday. Launched on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, these initiatives mark the return of a state-run bus service in Madhya Pradesh after a gap of 21 years.
Details Of The New Bus Network
State Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh explained that the Chief Minister Sugam Transport Service will operate 351 buses under a public-private partnership model. Aimed at providing citizens with a convenient, secure, modern, and environmentally friendly transit experience, these buses were flagged off from seven cities across the region. The designated locations include Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Dewas, Katni, and Bhind. The transport minister stated that this initiative will significantly strengthen travel connectivity between urban and rural areas.
