A shocking incident has emerged from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, where a young man attempted to end his life by jumping from the fourth floor of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, triggering immediate chaos and panic across the medical facility. Bystanders present at the spot desperately tried to reason with him and talk him out of the extreme step, but he refused to listen and ultimately plunged downwards. Fortunately, hospital staff stationed nearby acted swiftly to admit him for urgent medical care without delay. The injured individual was rushed to the emergency ward, where medical professionals describe his condition as critical. This harrowing event has left the victim's family in a state of profound shock and grief.
Youth Leaps From Building's Upper Level
The injured person has been identified as Arjun Chamkel, a resident of Pandey Tola. A live video capturing the sequence of events has also surfaced publicly, showing the shocking moment he threw himself from the hospital's fourth floor, leaving onlookers stunned. Although his life was saved, he sustained severe trauma to his body. According to his family members, Arjun had been suffering from tuberculosis for roughly four years. Due to this prolonged illness, his mental health had deteriorated significantly, leaving him deeply distressed and tormented over an extended period.
Stepped Out of House for Tobacco
Detailing the sequence before the incident, relatives explained that he had simply walked out of his house to purchase tobacco. Just a short while later, the family received the alarming news that he had fallen from the hospital. Upon learning about the suicide attempt, relatives rushed to the facility in a panic. Meanwhile, local authorities from the Amahia police station arrived at the scene promptly upon receiving word of the incident and initiated a thorough investigation. Law enforcement is currently examining the circumstances behind the event as well as reviewing the surfaced footage.
Twenty Year Old Undergoing Treatment
Providing official details regarding the case, Amahia station house officer Manoj Gautam stated that the victim's relatives reported that his mental condition was unstable and he had been undergoing treatment for tuberculosis for about four years. According to the family, he left home to buy tobacco, consumed it, reached the hospital, and subsequently jumped from the fourth floor. Police reached the location immediately after being alerted and are probing all aspects of the case.
