Sensational details have emerged in the ongoing investigation into the shooting targeted at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. During custodial interrogation, the accused revealed that they had conducted a preliminary test fire of their weapon prior to executing the attack. Furthermore, investigators discovered that an accidental discharge occurred inside a Mumbai hotel room before the crime was committed, which went entirely unnoticed by hotel staff and bystanders.
Pre-Attack Practice Session and Hotel Room Misfire
According to information gathered by investigating officers, the suspects picked an isolated spot on the outskirts of Mumbai to test their firearm ahead of the assault. During questioning, the accused pinpointed the precise location where they verified the gun's operational readiness. One of the suspects discharged two rounds, while his accomplice fired a single round to confirm that the weapon would not jam during the planned attack.
The interrogation also uncovered a critical misstep during their preparations. While staying at a hotel in the Andheri area of Mumbai, the suspects were inspecting the firearm inside their room when it accidentally went off. The fired bullet directly struck the bed mattress. Despite the loud discharge inside the enclosed space, neither the hotel personnel nor any adjacent guests suspected foul play or reported the incident.
Escape to Surat and Concealment of Crucial Evidence
Immediately after executing the firing against Tiger Shroff, the culprits fled the scene and traveled to Surat, Gujarat. Official sources indicate that upon arriving in Surat, the suspects hid the weapon used in the crime at an undisclosed location. To evade electronic surveillance and police tracking, they also disposed of their mobile devices in the same surrounding area.
Mumbai Police is currently collaborating with local law enforcement agencies in Surat to verify the statements provided by the suspects. Joint search operations are underway across prospective locations in Surat to locate and retrieve the hidden handgun along with the mobile phones, which constitute vital physical evidence in the case.
