Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh departed from the state capital, Imphal, on Friday morning to attend a key national summit in New Delhi. According to a representative of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Chief Minister boarded an early morning flight to travel to the national capital, where he is scheduled to participate in a crucial two-day developmental forum.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to take part in a high-profile economic conference titled "Financing India’s Journey towards Viksit Bharat". This major national event is being organized by the Union Ministry of Finance and will span two days, specifically taking place on September 18 and 19 in New Delhi. The gathering is set to serve as a vital platform for policymakers to discuss the country's economic trajectory and funding mechanisms for future growth.
This grand conference will bring together a diverse group of key leaders and administrative experts from across the nation. It will be attended by the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, along with several state Chief Ministers, Finance Ministers, and senior bureaucrats representing various states and Union Territories that have active legislatures. Just one day before his departure to the national capital, Chief Minister Singh held an important bilateral meeting with Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, the Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). The meeting took place at the Chief Minister's Secretariat located in Imphal, where the two leaders engaged in detailed discussions regarding the growth of the region.
Following the conclusion of this high-level meeting, Chief Minister Singh shared updates about their interaction on social media. Writing in a post, he noted that the discussions centered on various welfare programs and the execution of ongoing development initiatives within the state of Manipur.
