India's primary market is set for a flurry of activity in the upcoming trading week starting Monday, as six companies prepare to launch their initial public offerings (IPOs). Together, these offerings aim to mop up approximately Rs 5,600 crore from equity investors. The roster of companies entering the market includes Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks and retail jewellery major Lalitha Jewellery Mart, showcasing strong corporate intent to tap public liquidity across diverse business sectors.
Horizon Industrial Parks and Lalitha Jewellery Mart Lead Off on August 17
The subscription window opens on August 17 with two sizeable offerings heading to the market. Horizon Industrial Parks, backed by global private equity giant Blackstone, is launching a Rs 2,600 crore issue with a fixed price band of Rs 57 to Rs 60 per share. Management has indicated that the entire capital raised through this public offer will be directed toward paying off outstanding corporate debt. On the same day, Lalitha Jewellery Mart will open its Rs 1,700 crore IPO with a price band set between Rs 190 and Rs 201 per share. The issue comprises a fresh issuance of equity shares worth up to Rs 1,200 crore alongside an Offer for Sale (OFS) component of up to Rs 500 crore.
Shankesh Jewellers and Sunshine Pictures Join the Fray on August 18
On August 18, two more companies will launch their public offers to raise fresh growth funds. Shankesh Jewellers aims to raise Rs 367 crore through its IPO, setting a price range of Rs 88 to Rs 93 per share for prospective buyers. Concurrently, entertainment firm Sunshine Pictures will open its Rs 282 crore public issue, having fixed its share price band between Rs 342 and Rs 360 per share.
Gaja Alternative Asset Management and Tempsens Instruments Round Out the Week
Financial service provider Gaja Alternative Asset Management, which operates under the Gaja Capital brand, will launch its Rs 550 crore IPO on August 19. The offering consists of up to Rs 450 crore in fresh equity shares and an OFS segment of up to Rs 100 crore, with a price band established at Rs 152 to Rs 160 per share. Wrapping up the week's launches, Tempsens Instruments (India) will open its issue on August 20, bringing a fresh share issue worth Rs 95 crore along with an Offer for Sale of 1.85 crore equity shares.
Total Public Issues in 2026 Expected to Reach 54
With these six public offerings hitting the primary market this week, the cumulative number of companies coming out with IPOs in 2026 is projected to rise to 54. Primary market issues continue to provide businesses with essential liquidity to fund strategic corporate expansion, execute capital expenditure projects, reduce leverage, and meet day-to-day corporate requirements.
