Temperature sensing and heating solutions provider Tempsens Instruments (India) Ltd is gearing up to launch its initial public offering on August 20, with the total issue size pegged at Rs 650 crore. The public offering will remain open for subscription until August 24. The company has fixed the price band for the equity shares at Rs 285 to Rs 300 per share, allowing investors to place their bids within this designated range.
Anchor Bidding Schedule and Market Valuation
Bidding by anchor investors is scheduled to take place on August 19, according to a public announcement released. At the upper end of the established price band, the post-issue implied market capitalisation of the enterprise is estimated to be around Rs 2,515 crore. The initial public offering comprises a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 95 crore alongside an Offer-for-Sale of up to 1.85 crore equity shares, taking the aggregate issue size to the targeted Rs 650 crore at the higher end.
Utilisation of Proceeds and Corporate Background
The firm intends to deploy the net proceeds raised from the issue towards funding specific capital expenditure requirements for its electrical heating solutions and specialised cable solutions, repaying outstanding debt obligations, and fulfilling general corporate purposes. Incorporated back in 1990, Tempsens operates as a prominent thermal engineering and specialised cable manufacturer, delivering custom-designed temperature sensing, electrical heating, and specialised cable solutions across various industrial sectors.
Product Offerings and Investor Allocation Quotas
The corporation manufactures an extensive array of contact and non-contact temperature sensors while extending tailored solutions tailored to diverse industrial applications. Out of the total offering, 50 per cent has been explicitly reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 15 per cent is allocated for non-institutional investors, and 35 per cent is earmarked for retail investors. The equity shares are officially proposed to be listed on both the BSE and the NSE on August 28.

To oversee the entire public issue process, ICICI Securities and JM Financial have been appointed as the book-running lead managers, whereas KFin Technologies Ltd acts as the official registrar to the issue.
