Loss of Contact with Maa Kali Trawler
This terrifying sequence of events began when these fishermen departed from the Shankarpur beach aboard a commercial trawler named 'Maa Kali' to prepare for the upcoming fishing season. Reports indicate that all contact with the vessel and its crew members was abruptly severed after July 2. When wireless messages and satellite signals failed to elicit any response, panic erupted among the families of the fishermen. Among those reported missing are three local fishermen from Uluda village in the Bhograi block of Odisha's Balasore district, identified as Jayram Majhi, Rabindra Majhi, and Jagannath Majhi.

The fishermen's union has fervently requested the government and the administration to deploy advanced Indian Navy helicopters to accelerate the search and rescue efforts.
