The Indian Army's 54th Infantry Division, famously known as the Bison Division, exhibited extraordinary fortitude throughout the Basantar sector. To acknowledge the steady affection, hospitality, and respect extended by the local community, the formation commander at the time, Major General W.A.G. Pinto, alongside his troops, decided to dedicate the captured tank to the residents of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on November 26, 1973.
