Amidst serious allegations regarding corruption and financial irregularities at the Ram Mandir, Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal has announced a significant mobilization effort. Kejriwal stated that a special Sundarkand Path will be organized on Sunday, July 12, at 10:00 AM at the JMD Tent in Japanese Park, Rohini Sector-10, Delhi. He asserted that there is immense anger among devotees and Sanatani Hindus across the country because the Narendra Modi government is allegedly protecting those who committed the grave sin of looting the Ram Mandir.
Strategy and Nationwide Signature Campaign
Arvind Kejriwal clarified that this is not merely a political protest but a religious duty for every devotee to come forward and seek justice against these sinners. Immediately following the Sundarkand recitation, a large-scale signature campaign will be launched, which will expand beyond Delhi to cover the entire country. According to Kejriwal, this initiative will reach every place where Ram Bhakts reside and are hurt by these recent events. The process involves visiting households, reciting Hanuman Chalisa, and performing Aarti, after which devotees will sign a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Serious Allegations of Corruption
During a press conference at the party headquarters, Arvind Kejriwal directly questioned the functioning of the Modi government. He alleged that in land acquisition for temple construction, property worth 2 crore rupees was purchased for 18 crore rupees, with documented evidence already available. Kejriwal stated that despite these massive scams, no FIR has been filed and no arrests have been made. He further alleged that 40 percent commission was demanded for construction contracts, a claim supported by engineers at the site, yet the government has ignored these reports. He described the silence over the theft of offerings captured on CCTV cameras as a significant display of corruption.
Scapegoating and Protecting the Powerful
Arvind Kejriwal believes that arresting only eight minor employees is merely a facade designed to protect the influential individuals behind these crimes. He argued that unless the public raises its voice, justice will remain elusive. Kejriwal demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensure that those who looted the Ram Mandir are not spared and that they should be publicly hanged for their actions.
Content of the Letter to the Prime Minister
The letter, which will be signed by devotees as part of the campaign, expresses deep anguish that millions of followers contributed their lifetime savings to the construction of the Ram Mandir, only to see that trust betrayed. The letter notes that members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are considered very close to the Prime Minister, making his continued silence over years of commission-based corruption and land scams shocking. The letter demands an end to the superficial SIT investigations aimed at hushing up the matter and calls for an impartial, rigorous probe. Arvind Kejriwal emphasized that this letter is being sent to the Prime Minister with the high hope that stern legal consequences will finally be enforced against the perpetrators.
