With local body elections on the horizon in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party has significantly stepped up its organizational groundwork. To ensure robust grassroots preparation, the party has designated senior leaders and office-bearers as observers across ten prominent municipal corporations in the state. These appointments are aimed at reviewing organizational activities, streamlining electoral readiness, and gathering ground-level feedback from various urban pockets.
According to the lists released by the party, ten major municipal bodies have been brought under this specialized oversight mechanism. These include the municipal corporations of Bhilwara, Pali, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, and Ajmer. While most of these municipal areas have been assigned three observers each, the Kota municipal corporation stands out with a team of four leaders tasked with overseeing its preparations. Observers note that this extensive outreach is designed to fortify the local party machinery and inject momentum into campaign strategies well ahead of the polls.
Specific Assignments Across Key Districts
The distribution of responsibilities reflects a calculated approach to regional dynamics. For the Bhilwara municipal corporation, the party has designated Devji Patel, Gautam Kumar Dak, and Mahendra Kumawat as observers. Meanwhile, the responsibilities for the Pali municipal corporation have been entrusted to CR चौधरी, Jageshwar Garg, and Sumedhanand Saraswati.
In the key divisions of Jodhpur and Udaipur, experienced hands have been brought in. The Jodhpur municipal corporation will be supervised by Onkar Singh Lakhawat, Joraram Kumawat, and Kishor Singh. For the Udaipur municipal corporation, the leadership has placed its faith in Rajendra Rathore, Kailash Choudhary, and Kalulal Gurjar.
Special Focus on Kota and State Capital Jaipur
Kota has been assigned an expanded four-member team of observers, signaling the party's intense focus on the region's political pulse. This team comprises Meghraj Lohia, Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary, Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, and Ranjeeta Koli.
In Bikaner, the municipal corporation will be monitored by Rajendra Gehlot, Surendra Pal Singh TT, and KK Bishnoi. Meanwhile, overseeing the politically crucial Jaipur municipal corporation are Prabhu Lal Sain, Suresh Rawat, and Kuldeep Dhankhar, keeping in view the complex urban equations and organizational dynamics of the state capital.
Observers Deployed in Alwar, Bharatpur, and Ajmer
Rounding out the deployments, the Alwar municipal corporation has been assigned Shankar Singh Rajpurोहित, Jawahar Singh Bedham, and Ramlal Sharma. The task in Bharatpur has been given to Ashok Parnami, Chhagan Mahur, and Sanjay Sharma. Finally, the Ajmer municipal corporation will see Arun Chaturvedi, Gopichand Meena, and Hiralal Nagar taking charge as observers.
