A tragic incident has come to light from Nayabas village in the Ramgarh region of Alwar district, where a 32-year-old man ended his life after reportedly facing election-related animosity and mental harassment. The unfortunate event triggered widespread anger among the grieving family members and local villagers, who subsequently gathered outside the Ramgarh sub-district hospital to stage a strong protest.
Protest Outside the Hospital
During the demonstration outside the hospital, the family members raised several key demands. They insisted on the immediate arrest of the accused individuals, an unbiased and fair investigation into the entire matter, and adequate financial compensation for the victim's family. Following a prolonged period of protest, police authorities arrived at the scene and pacified the crowd through persuasion. Once the situation was diffused, the authorities registered a formal complaint filed by the deceased man's brother and arranged for an autopsy to be conducted by a medical board.
Dispute Arising After Panchayat Elections
Based on the official complaint submitted to the police station, the deceased has been identified as Mansingh. His brother, Harisingh, lodged a report at the Ramgarh police station accusing Nawal Kishore Meena, son of Shriram alias Sariya, along with 8 to 10 other individuals of mental harassment and intimidation. The complaint states that mounting pressure had been exerted on Mansingh ever since the conclusion of the local panchayat elections in the Nayabas village, plunging him into deep mental distress.
Escalation Following the FIR Filing
According to the details shared in Harisingh's report, panchayat elections had recently been concluded in Nayabas. It has been alleged that following the victory of a specific candidate, Nawal Kishore Meena and his associates played a role in disrupting the village atmosphere and creating a ruckus. This fueled an ongoing dispute over the election results within the village. The family alleges that Mansingh was specifically targeted due to this electoral rivalry. An FIR regarding the matter was also registered at the Ramgarh police station on October 25, 2026, naming approximately 12 villagers including the deceased Mansingh.
Forced to Stay Away from Home Due to Threats
The victim's brother further alleged in the police report that ever since Mansingh's name appeared in the FIR, Nawal Kishore Meena continuously threatened to ruin him. According to the family, the relentless threats plunged Mansingh into severe anxiety. The situation worsened to the extent that he was compelled to live outside the village away from his home. The family maintains that the mounting pressure from the election dispute and continuous harassment ultimately drove the young man to take his own life.
