Preparations for the 2026 panchayat elections in Rajasthan have gained strong momentum within the Bharatiya Janata Party, with the leadership initiating the process to finalize its contenders. The party aims to lock in the candidate list for the first phase of voting before October 11. To facilitate this exercise, division coordinators, district coordinators, and panchayat-level coordinators have been summoned to Jaipur along with their shortlisted panels of ticket aspirants.
High-Level Meetings at Party Headquarters in Jaipur
Deliberations over the submitted nominee panels are scheduled to take place at the state BJP headquarters in Jaipur between October 10 and October 12. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and BJP state president Madan Rathore, alongside senior party leaders, will lead the consultative rounds to evaluate candidate viability across local constituencies.
Three-Tier Panel Reviews Before Final Decision
Candidate choices are undergoing a structured multi-level scrutiny before securing final approval at the state echelon. The leadership will examine recommendations compiled across divisional, district, and grassroots panchayat units to prevent factional friction and select strong contenders. With the tight target of concluding first-phase selections before October 11, the coming days remain crucial for local aspirants awaiting official nomination tickets.
