State President Madan Rathore to Tour Five Key Districts
Spearheading the outreach campaign, BJP State President Madan Rathore will visit five districts over three days, interacting directly with booth and district workers to dispense core campaign directives. Providing specifics on the tour schedule, Rajasthan BJP spokesperson Ramlal Sharma outlined that the party chief will engage with cadre in Tonk and Ajmer on Wednesday. On October 1, Rathore will travel to Beawar and Bhilwara for comprehensive organisational meetings. He will conclude his tour on October 2 in Rajsamand, where detailed consultations will be held with district workers on booth management, grassroots issues, and campaign coordination for the rural local elections.
General Secretaries Ajeya Kumar and Harish Dwivedi Assigned Key Zones
To ensure tight organisational control, General Secretary (Organisation) Ajeya Kumar will oversee meetings across six organizational districts. On September 30, Kumar convened sessions with party workers representing Jaipur North and Jaipur South. On October 1, he is scheduled to visit Churu and Bikaner, followed by meetings with district workers in Ganganagar and Hanumangarh on October 2. Concurrently, BJP National General Secretary Harish Dwivedi has been assigned five crucial districts in southern Rajasthan. Dwivedi led cadre meetings in Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh on September 30, will head to the tribal districts of Banswara and Dungarpur on October 1, and will preside over a worker convention in Udaipur on October 2.
Sanjay Bhatia and Kuljeet Singh Chahal Join Grassroots Strategy Sessions
The party's newly appointed state in-charge and National General Secretary, Sanjay Bhatia, will cover four districts across two days to evaluate local preparations. On Wednesday, Bhatia will address workers in Khairthal-Tijara and Alwar. On October 1, his itinerary includes strategy meetings with party functionaries in Bharatpur and Dausa. Working alongside him, State Co-Incharge Kuljeet Singh Chahal will interface with party cadre in Jhunjhunu and Sikar on Wednesday, moving to Kotputli-Behror on October 1 to assess preparedness and strengthen grassroots electoral machinery.
Aiming to Replicate Urban Local Body Triumph
This swift and aggressive preparation comes directly on the heels of the party's decisive urban local body election performance. In the recently concluded elections, the BJP secured control of two-thirds of the 309 urban local bodies across Rajasthan. Furthermore, out of the state's 10 municipal corporations, the party captured power in 9, with Bikaner being the lone exception. Determined to replicate this winning momentum in rural panchayat bodies, the BJP is initiating contact at the earliest stage. On the other flank, the Congress, which lagged behind by a margin of less than one percent of the aggregate vote share in urban polls, has also initiated counter-strategies to reclaim ground in the panchayat elections.
