A brazen theft occurred at a mobile shop located near the bus stand in Deoli town of Tonk district, where cash was taken from the cash drawer within seconds. Taking advantage of the temporary absence of the shop owner, who had briefly visited an adjacent commercial outlet, a young man and a woman entered the premises and swept cash out of the counter before slipping away unnoticed.
Theft Executed Within Seconds in an Empty Store
The shop owner, Ashish Pancholi, had stepped away to visit an adjacent shop for a brief duration. During this interval, the mobile store was left completely unattended with neither staff nor customers present inside. Noticing the vacant counter, the duo walked in without hesitation. The woman quickly moved behind the counter, reached into the cash drawer, and retrieved the money stored inside. The entire episode lasted only a few seconds, after which the individuals left the scene.
Surveillance Footage Exposes the Incident
When Ashish Pancholi returned to his establishment, he noticed a discrepancy in the cash kept in the drawer. Finding the money short, he immediately examined the video recordings captured by the surveillance cameras installed inside the shop. Upon reviewing the playback, the recorded visuals confirmed that the woman who entered the store during his brief absence had directly accessed the drawer and removed the cash.
No Official Police Complaint Lodged Yet
The recorded footage shows the entire sequence clearly, capturing the woman in the act of removing cash from the unattended drawer while her companion stood by. Because the shop was empty at the exact moment of their arrival, the perpetrators faced no immediate resistance or confrontation. To date, no formal police complaint has been registered regarding this matter. Consequently, no official police intervention or formal investigation has been initiated, though the visual recording has sparked widespread discussion among local traders and residents in the vicinity.
