A fresh administrative proposal has emerged in Rajasthan regarding the official vehicles used by Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The association has formally requested the state government to implement a system where national emblem flags are displayed on the official cars of senior bureaucrats. This measure aims to align the vehicle identification with the rank and designated position of the officers.
Proposal Based on West Bengal Model
The demand has been raised by the Rajasthan IAS Association following the existing practice in states like West Bengal. The association wants senior administrative officers in Rajasthan to be granted the right to display flags featuring the Ashoka Chakra on their official transport, reflecting their hierarchical standing within the governance structure.
Proposal Sent by Secretary Samit Sharma
The official proposal has been submitted to the government through IAS Association Secretary Samit Sharma. Following the submission, attention has turned toward the state administration to see how it responds to the recommendation. Stakeholders are now closely monitoring the government's stance on this vehicle flag proposal.
