The ancient Shree Shaileshwar Mahadev Temple located in the Dudu area of Jaipur district witnessed immense devotional fervor on the auspicious occasion of Sawan Purnima. To celebrate the climax of the holy month of Shravan, a grand ice decoration (Barf Shringar) was performed for the deity. Lord Shaileshwar Mahadev adorned in ice presented a breathtaking sight, drawing thousands of devotees who formed long queues from early morning to offer prayers and seek blessings for health, wealth, and general prosperity.
Resounding Mahaarati Follows Divine Ice Decoration
Following the holy unveiling of the ice-decorated deity, a majestic Mahaarati was organized within the temple premises. A vast gathering of devotees actively participated in the ceremony, filling the atmosphere with powerful chants and slogans dedicated to Lord Shiva. Due to the religious significance of Sawan Purnima, an uninterrupted flow of worshippers was observed starting at dawn. Devotees performed traditional Jalabhishek by offering holy water and milk over the Shivling while praying for the welfare of their families.
Culmination of Month-Long Ramayan Recitation
Elaborating on the month-long religious proceedings, temple priest Pandit Babulal Sharma shared that devotees displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the holy month of Sawan. Families visited the temple together to witness the ice ornamentation of Lord Shiva and participate in various rituals. Furthermore, a month-long recitation of the Ramayan, which had been conducted inside the temple complex since the start of Shravan, reached its formal conclusion on this holy day.
Purnahuti Rituals and Prasad Distribution
The final phase of the Ramayan recitation featured a ceremonial Purnahuti ritual, where sacred offerings were made amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns and traditional prayers. Worshippers took part in the ritual with reverence, seeking divine protection and asking for peace, harmony, and prosperity across the entire region. The entire temple grounds remained steeped in spiritual serenity throughout the day. Following the completion of the religious ceremonies, blessed Prasad was distributed among all attending devotees.
