Empowering women financially and turning their innate talents into viable livelihoods has become the focus of a fresh initiative by the Dungarpur Municipal Council. Newly elected Municipal Council Chairperson Sushila Gupta has taken charge of preparing local women for self-employment opportunities. The program encompasses various fields including tailoring, embroidery, mehendi, and beauty parlor training, enabling participants to transform their skills into commercial ventures. A notable highlight of this campaign is the active participation of established local women entrepreneurs, who have stepped forward to offer complimentary training to those in need.
To advance this mission, Sushila Gupta convened an interactive session with women entrepreneurs inside the municipal council hall. Women working across diverse sectors attended the gathering to exchange their practical insights and personal journeys. The discussion centered on recognizing female talent, generating job prospects, and encouraging entrepreneurial ventures. During the event, professionals specializing in mehendi, beauty services, stitching, and embroidery shared their field experiences while exploring pathways to impart these skills and economically empower fellow residents.
Tailored Training Based on Interest and Capability
Sushila Gupta noted that numerous women across the city possess hidden talents and the drive to achieve, yet struggle to attain independence due to a lack of proper guidance, resources, and opportunities. The municipal administration aims to identify such potential and provide platforms for growth. She emphasized that instruction will be aligned with each individual's personal interests, capabilities, and aptitude. The ultimate goal extends beyond merely teaching a trade; it seeks to equip participants with the capability to launch and manage their own independent businesses.
Free Training Opens Doors to New Livelihoods
The involvement of local businesswomen is viewed as a cornerstone of this campaign. Because experienced professionals are volunteering to teach without charging fees, participants can acquire valuable expertise with minimal financial strain. This municipal effort is expected to boost household incomes and strengthen the financial foundation of families throughout the area. Furthermore, individuals who complete the program and establish their own ventures may eventually create employment opportunities for others, fostering a broader culture of female entrepreneurship and self-reliance in the city.
